OUR NEW FILM

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

We’re pleased to announce we’re shooting a new feature In August, I USED TO BE DARKER, written by Amy Belk and Matt Porterfield, and produced by our long-time collaborator Steve Holmgren (Union Docs). The film will be shot by DP Jeremy Saulnier, cinematographer on Matt’s previous films, HAMILTON (2006) and PUTTY HILL (2011). It stars musicians Kim Taylor and Ned Oldham (Palace Brothers, Old Calf), along with newcomers Deragh Campbell and Hannah Gross.

Though we’re two days away from shooting, we’re still pulling together the resources to fund the picture through Kickstarter. Watch the video below and learn more about the project here.

It’s official: we shot a feature film in Baltimore this summer. Keeping it under wraps for the time being, but working on the picture edit. Very close. Super stoked.
